Stream Monkey makes it easy to create podcasts by using files you have already uploaded into your File Manager. This article will teach you how to get started.

Start by clicking on the Podcast menu on the left of your screen. Then click Add Podcast. You will start by naming your podcast, then choosing whether you would like for it to be a video podcast or an audio one. You can put in a description of what your podcast will be about, and choose an image.

Under the Details, you will select or create a playlist. You will choose whether it has explicit content or not (a general setting required of most podcasts). You can then choose different categories that apply to your podcast. You can put in your church's website, and then the Author and Owner. The owner is typically the company name, the author is more who creates is. For example, the owner may be the church name, while the author may be the pastor's name.

Here is an example:

When you are done, click the blue box with the checkmark to save.

Now that your podcast has been created, it's time to add content. All of the content for podcasts comes from videos you have uploaded into the File Manager. If it is an audio only podcast, it will pull just the audio from the video you uploaded.

Click on Episodes to add an episode. Then you will click...Add Episode.

In this screen you will enter in information specific to that episode. You will name it, choose a video file from your list in the File Manager, select an Author, and make a description. You can also add an image specific to this episode. Check the blue box to save.

Now you will have a list of episodes for your podcast. To the right, you can find the RSS Feed. This is the link that you will post on your website, and use to give to people so that they can subscribe to your podcast.

Be sure to register your Podcast through Apple if you would like it to show up in the iTunes store. This page has the link to tell you how to do that: http://www.apple.com/itunes/podcasts/specs.html
You will use the RSS feed given to you in the Dashboard to submit it to Apple.
