When something happens that affects your stream, we want to know about it. One of the best things that can help us get to the bottom of the problem is being able to see your encoder logs. Here's how to find them in Wirecast.

For Windows Users:

  1. Navigate to c:\Documents and Settings\$USER$\Application Data\Wirecast\flash_log.txt 
  2. Find the file that corresponds to the date you were having issues, and send it to us. We'll be happy to take a look at and help you get to the bottom of your issues!

For Mac Users:

  1. Open Finder
  2. Go to the menu at the top of the screen and click Go, then Go to Folder

A window will pop up that looks like this:

3. Copy and paste in this phrase:
 ~/Library/Logs/Wirecast
Then hit Go.

4. You will see a folder called Wirecast, and inside that folder you'll see several text files saved as flash_log_#.txt 

5. Find the one that corresponds to the date you were having issues, and send it to us. We'll be happy to take a look at and help you get to the bottom of your issues!
