Begin by doing a speed test from the network your encoder is on. There are a few things that might be causing this issue if the problem isn’t your connection speed.

1. Check your encoder performance to see if there has been any buffering. If so, then your stream doesn’t have enough bandwidth to leave your campus. You can improve this by downgrading your bit rates or isolating the network from public use.

2. Do a trace route to the entry point url to see what the performance of the ISP lines are. If it’s not performing well, either contact your ISP or switch to stream to the backup url, provided to you in the Encoder section of your live stream.

3. Perhaps the primary entry point is not performing properly. If so, stream to the backup url instead.
