On occasion, there may be an issue streaming to the primary entry point of the CDN. You can bypass this by streaming to your backup stream.

Change the address in your encoder to the backup address.* This is as simple as changing the "p" to a "b." You can also find your backup stream name in the details on your live stream.

If you are still having issues, please contact us and we can make some adjustments in your player to make sure that the backup stream is displaying correctly. The player is set to read the primary stream by default, and switch to the backup as necessary when available. In some cases, the player doesn't want to switch to the backup stream, and we can force it to do that if necessary.

*If you are a live transcoder user, or if you already stream to the backup and the primary on a regular basis, you do not need to change anything in your encoder.
