Each stream is already setup to be dynamic, but in order to send multiple bitrates from your encoder to SM, you’ll need to name each bitrate differently so they can be packaged correctly.
Let's look at an example to learn how to set them up properly.
Here are Stream Monkey's recommended bitrates to use when setting up your stream (you can learn more about this in our recommended Encoder Settings article).
While setting up your encoder, you will set up four unique streams and name them according to their target bitrate. In the "Details" section of your stream, you will find a stream name that looks something like this:
You'll simply take your stream name and replace the word BITRATE with the target bitrate on your stream. Using the settings mentioned above, your stream names would look like this:
If your encoder isn't set up to send multiple streams/bitrates, you can sign up for our Live Transcoding package and we can take care of it for you. Please send us a message if you're interested or have any questions.
