In order to send your simulated live stream to Facebook and YouTube live, you'll need a few things:

  • Your account must be on Stream Monkey's new platform. The easiest way to tell which platform you are on: the new platform colors are red and white, while the old platform background is a dark grey. If you need to move over to the new platform, please fill out the request here: www.streammonkey.com/beta

  • You must be on the Pro+ or Premium plan, because this feature requires our live transcoding service to work. Please be aware that any time you stream to a simlive stream with this feature, it will count towards your hours, even if you are not streaming to Facebook or YouTube Live. If you need to upgrade your plan, message us through the chat and we can help you with that.

We have automatically added a simulated live option to every transcoder stream, so you can use the same stream and embed code for both! All you need to do is go to the Live Monitor and choose any stream that has the word transcoder next to it. You will see a Simulated live tab that will allow you to schedule your file to play on that stream.

We have help files for sending to Facebook Live as well as YouTube Live in our support section.

If you have just switched to the newer version of the platform, your simulated live stream set up has moved to the Live Monitor. You can learn how to schedule a stream from our help file.
